Energy Saving Tips for Air conditioning Unit

1. When buying a new room air conditioning unit, choose the unit with higher Energy Efficient Rating. See picture below
    
   
   
   
   
2. Install the air conditioning unit in the coolest part of the room, if possible on a shady side where maximum air circulation is available.  
3. Air-conditioned rooms should be well insulated from direct sunlight. Block out the sun rays with curtains and drapes and close off unused rooms.
4. Make sure that the thermostat is working efficiently.  Set the temperature at the comfortable level. Don't over cool the room.
5. Avoid placing any electrical appliance that will generate heat in the room.
6. Clean the filter and vacuum the outdoor coil regularly to keep the unit working efficiently.
